On 23rd November, the Really Rubbish team will be hosting a VIP award ceremony for a select number of pupils from schools in Cardiff. This show is sponsored by Viridor, who operate the Energy Recovery Facility in Cardiff which burns all our non-recyclable waste.
We shall be giving out awards for:
- The Food Waste Champion 2016
- Really Rubbish Recycler of the Year 2016
- 4 R’s award (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Recover)
- Really Rubbish Teacher of the Year 2016
- Really Rubbish School of the Year 2016
Before we give out the awards and prizes, the children will be able to attend a mixture of recycling and environmental based workshops to get some “hands on” experience of these topics.
Invitations and award entry forms will be going out to all schools in Cardiff, and we hope to see two pupil ambassadors from each school at the event.
This award ceremony is our way of saying a big thank you to the schools and children in Cardiff for all the hard work you have done for the Really Rubbish campaign this year.
